What we are looking for:

ODF is looking for an Administrative Specialist 2 to provide administrative support for Central Oregon District in department programs. These goals and related duties include:

  • Performing, payroll, fiscal, fire and non-fire billing tasks.

  • Requires the ability to closely coordinate with other staff to provide guidance and support needed to meet their responsibility to respective departmental objectives, agency missions, and legal mandates.

  • Implement Federal, State, Department, and District policies, laws and procedures by interpreting and applying the information to various, and at times complex daily working situations.

  • May serve as the finance section chief on local/other COD fires - responsible for technical and administrative functions required to establish, monitor, and prepare payment of fire suppression costs – this includes auditing Unit, District, EFC, and FEMA fire suppression costs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR

An associate degree in general office occupations AND two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.
