Job Description

Join our passionate WIC team and make a real impact in the lives of families! As a WIC Dietitian, you'll provide nutrition education, assessments, and support to participants of all ages—from newborns to adults. You'll help ensure families have access to healthy food and community resources, while delivering a positive, respectful, and culturally sensitive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess eligibility using medical history, dietary data, and health measurements.

  • Provide personalized nutrition counseling and issue WIC benefits tailored to individual needs.

  • Refer families to medical and social services for added support.

  • Educate participants on program benefits, rights, and responsibilities.

  • Maintain accurate records, answer phones, and schedule appointments.

  • Support community outreach by attending at least one event per year.

  • Travel occasionally to other WIC clinics for coverage.

  • Help train new team members and support clinic operations as needed.

  • Follow all local, state, and federal WIC guidelines and maintain confidentiality.

  • Promote safety, diversity, quality care, and a positive team environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s in Dietetics from an ADA-approved program

  • Registry eligible—must be registered with the ADA within 6 months of hire

  • Missouri Dietitian license (or obtained within 6 months of hire)

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic computer and data entry skills

  • Comfortable speaking to individuals and groups

  • Must have reliable transportation for local travel

This position will be expected to travel to all clinic locations and be available on an as needed basis as well as some pre-scheduled days.
