Position Details:

Grainger Sourcing provides an important component to our value by fulfilling customers' unmet product needs through Sourcing's network of 14k+ suppliers. As a Strategic Quotes Analyst, you will provide high-quality customer solutions for strategic opportunities outside of Grainger's core assortment. You will vet new opportunities, conduct market research, determine a solution, and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure we are meeting our customers' needs. You will report to the Supervisor, Strategic Quotes.

You Will:

• Prepare and deliver high-quality quotes for Grainger Sourcing's most strategic and complex customer opportunities, creating value for our customers and generating profitable revenue for Grainger.
• Use critical thinking skills to vet new opportunities and determine best operational path to meet customer needs while also balancing required investment of company resources.
• Conduct market research for opportunities to inform decision making and ensure competitive, market relevant solutions are delivered to the customer.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain advantaged cost to improve Grainger's ability to win (large dollar quote opportunities, price escalations).
• Create partner agreement on chosen solution and use process expertise to influence decision makers.
• Follow standard processes to deliver an exceptional experience and create the most value for our customers and for Grainger.
• Maintain high levels of productivity, maximizing working time to produce the appropriate levels of activity.
• Work with a sense of urgency, updating relevant parties promptly to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Understand how to navigate all areas of Sourcing to manage work and redirect to appropriate areas

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field or experience
• 1+ years of experience in related field
• Experience troubleshooting challenges and resolving confusion
• Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems.
