Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Electrical Designer with seven plus years of experience to join our team in applying engineering skills to a variety of diverse and challenging projects for our Encino office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years of experience in the design and drafting of power, lighting, and systems for federal/DOD, commercial, healthcare, educational, industrial, multi-family, and high-rise facilities.
Expected Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $55.00.
Qualifications
- Two years of technical school with specific design training, or 7 years of design and drafting experience with electrical engineering firm in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. (Graduation from a certified CAD (Computer Aided Design) training program at an accredited institution counts as one year of experience.)
- Technical/associate degree in engineering or related science preferred.
- Proficient in computer-aided drafting (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) using AutoCAD and Revit. Must be experienced in Revit with electrical design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Perform design work without supervision and be able to collaborate in a group setting.
- Perform layouts of power, lighting and telecommunications systems and associated circuiting, load calculations and panel schedules.
- Knowledgeable with electrical calculations
- Knowledge of National and California Electrical Code
- Knowledge of T-24 Residential and Nonresidential.
