CMHHIP is a 24 hour behavioral health acute care facility that is intended to provide a safe, secure, and therapeutic setting for patients with both psychiatric and medical issues. The services provided include evaluation and treatment for patients who are severely mentally ill, and the goal of this facility is to return patients to their optimal level of functioning and assist them in returning to the community as appropriate.
Examples of duties
This position maintains a generalist set of clinical skills for a wide variety of medical procedures, assessments, and treatments delivered in a clinic setting at CMHHIP. This position maintains a high standard of quality nursing care in a dynamic role working in collaboration with a variety of practitioners in multiple settings. This position provides care to medical clinic patients seen by CMHHIP staff, specialty clinics by outside MDs, adult and pediatric admissions, and ECT treatments and recovery. This position provides nursing care in the Recovery Room for ECT patients, and is responsible for maintaining and coordinating the inpatient and outpatient weekly and monthly ECT schedules, communicating and coordinating with
