• Wednesday – 10:30 PM – 4 AM
• Thursday - Friday – 4:30 PM – 4:30 AM
• Saturday – 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM 

 

Job Purpose and Overview

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for safely repairing and maintaining industrial machinery, equipment, and electrical devices for a multi-line food manufacturing facility that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be responsible for keeping lines running, maintaining the equipment, and improving upon existing processes.

 

What Does It Take to be a Maintenance Technician II at Dawn Foods? 

 Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.  

• High school diploma or general education degree GED required.
• Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance is highly desired.

• Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience with food manufacturing.
• Must have extensive experience and familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.  Must be able to troubleshoot these systems and change components as required to repair inoperative equipment and return them to serviceable condition.
• PLC and HVAC knowledge is highly desired
• MIG, Stick, TIG and Oxy Acetylene welding ability is highly desired. 
• Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance such as lubricating, inspecting, and evaluating equipment. 

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow maintenance employees and members of other departments.
• Must understand and follow OSHA regulations as they pertain to all aspects of maintenance e.g. Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Confined Space, Working at Heights, etc.
• Must have basic computer skills, be familiar with Microsoft Office
• Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide
• Possess and utilizes personal tool set

• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. 

• Performs preventative maintenance, lubricates shafts, bearing, gears and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as wiring, electrical components.
• Installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
