Careers that Change LivesThis position is in the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) post market Program Management Office (PMO). The PD Program Manager provides technical and project leadership for the initial release and the ongoing lifecycle management of CRM products (IPGs, ICDs, leads, catheters and instruments) in China under the overall direction of the Core Team Leader. This includes support of initial new product submissions and post market lifecycle activities, including oversight of technical, compliance, and regulatory activities. This role involves coordinating cross-functional project teams with core domain expertise and leading various workstreams to ensure successful product submission, approval, and compliance with China NMPA regulations and Medtronic business strategies. This position may also support other, non-China post market projects as required by the business.
This position offers an opportunity to leverage program management expertise to support our China business needs through collaboration with geographically diverse teams, ultimately contributing to Medtronic's growth strategy by increasing revenue streams through China market penetration. The ability to work across US and China time zones is required.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Manages the development and implementation process of a company’s products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders.
- Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.
- Develops specific knowledge of China business strategy and the NMPA approach to new product introduction, documentation, change management, and governance.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Engineering, OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.
