The Role
This high-impact role is designed for a strategic, commercially focused professional who can pivot seamlessly from evaluating commercial risk to architecting and launching the sales programs that drive Lumen's growth. The Senior Lead Business Analyst is responsible for developing business insights, driving action with those insights, and transforming Lumen’s commercial strategy into actionable tactics to deliver sales and revenue results. This individual will progress AGT’s commercial objectives across all our business segments: Large Enterprise, Public Sector, Mid Markets, Wholesale, and our Partner community. These objectives include Funnel, Sales, Revenue, and Seller Productivity targets, which are key drivers of Lumen's growth.
This role requires a strong understanding of Lumen’s services and commercial model. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong data analytics skills, deliver clear, compelling executive-level presentations, and develop impactful insights. This individual will have a track record of building and running successful commercial programs. This is an individual contributor role which requires the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization from the Senior Leadership Team to all levels in the field.
The Main Responsibilities
• Synthesize complex information to into clear insights, and executive‑ and field-ready materials. Lead the creation of sales strategies, frameworks and motions to bring forward to customer facing teams
• Lead structured analyses across funnel health, conversion, coverage, productivity, and program effectiveness—moving beyond reporting to clearly identify root causes, risks, and actionable levers for improvement
• Lead high‑visibility initiatives with rigor and accountability. Plan and execute complex, multi‑stakeholder workstreams with disciplined project management owning timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and outcomes to ensure on‑time, in‑full delivery. In other words, lead the implementation of your recommendations: take the actions or ensure the actions are taken, then follow through lifecycle.
• Influence decisions at the Senior Leadership Team level and motivate action in the field.
• Ensure on-time and in-full fulfillment of all deliverables. Develop, communicate, and execute on project plans.
• Measurable results. Responsible not only for delivery, but also for measurability of results tracking to Acceleration & Growth Team KPIs.
• Cross-team collaboration. Align existing and new Lumen programs with our end-to-end sales and support methodology. Drive integration of AGT initiatives to ensure consistency and adoption across teams.
• Partnership. Serve as a trusted thought partner to commercial leaders. Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders by anticipating questions, pressure‑testing assumptions, and bringing structured thinking, data‑backed perspectives, and pragmatic recommendations to ambiguous or rapidly evolving business challenges.
What We Look For in a Candidate
• Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in management consulting, finance, telecommunications, sales or customer success, corporate strategy, or product.
• Proven success building and running commercial programs.
• Data analytics skills with demonstrated track record required.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to translate data into insights, and insights into action.
• Proven ability to formulate, communicate, and execute strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to connect relationally with both technical and line of business executives.
• An innovative thinker who is creative in solving problems and bringing opportunities for growth.
• Ability to analyze information, ask questions and gain insights that lead to strategic answers
• Well versed in all business functions, including CS, sales, marketing, finance, revenue operations, and IT.
• Enjoys ambiguity and can define a path forward regardless of roadblocks or challenges
• Executive presentation skills essential including strong PowerPoint and verbal communication.
• Conversant in common Lumen systems, tools, and processes.
