Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
Provide, under direct supervision, support for specified research projects; collect, assess, and communicate data/results. Assist in general laboratory operation and inventory. Seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious individual seeking to serve as a research assistant on multiple ongoing projects in our lab at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. The project that will be a focus of the lab is a clinical trial examining a psychosocial intervention for a specific chronic pain condition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES •

Under supervision, duties to include:

-assistance with patient recruitment

-follow-up calls

-organization of data

-database management

-work flow management

-data entry

-participation in lab meetings on Friday afternoons

-attending team meetings on Wednesday afternoons to provide updates as needed

 

Dependent on experience, additional responsibilities may also include:

-assistance with literature reviews

-preparation of conference materials

-reviewing and formatting scholarly materials

-assistance with data analysis

 

Prior experience with statistical software (STATA, SPSS) is preferred.  Candidates must have experience working with Microsoft word and excel.  We are seeking compassionate and collaborative individuals willing to engage with others in a patient environment.  Activities to adhere to good clinical practice and institutional review board procedures, such as CITI training, will also be required as a part of this position.
