Come join our Four Seasons Family! We are hiring for a Food and Beverage Assistant Manager. This position oversees two outlets, Truss Restaurant + Bar as well as our Michelin star Restaurant- Auro!
The Position/Role
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley is seeking candidates with previous Food and Beverage Management experience. The F&B Assistant Manager will be responsible for organizing, directing and controlling the work of employees in Truss Restaurant + Bar, Michelin star restaurant- Auro and other F&B outlets as needed. They will also ensure maximum guest satisfaction through providing exceptional service and attention to guests and colleagues alike.
Responsibilities
Train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees in Truss and Auro to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
Actively participate and contribute in Marketing and Promotional activities, both within the restaurants and outside.
Control labor expenses through effective scheduling and inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.
The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize, nurture and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons to ultimately increase loyalty as a key business driver.
Excellent food and beverage product knowledge.
Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlets and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Assist with the service of food to guests, making dining reservations and seating of guests.
Ensure proper table set-up and make minor adjustments as needed, assist with set-up and cleaning of operational areas.
Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in other areas of the Resort.
Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
Who You Are
College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is required.
One to two years’ previous experience as an assistant manager within Food & Beverage.
Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required.
Experience preferred in a luxury and/or Michelin starred environment.
Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
Strong computer skills, excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Proficiency in another language helpful, however not required.
Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
