This position will be in the Airframe SQM Supplier Quality Management team with responsibilities of supplier team integration and reports to the manager of the Airframe West Region SQM. The Supplier Quality Engineer functions as a Quality Engineer within the SQM integration teams across the product life cycle of multiple programs and technology domains. Scope of responsibility also includes; quality data analysis, root cause corrective and preventive action, variation management actions, supplier quality integration tasks, along with area or multiple area improvement strategy and planning. Responsible and accountable for initiating effective methods and improvements that drive and improve overall quality performance reducing area defects and scrap, rework, and repair cost to minimum as measured and trended by quality diagnostic measurement system.

Will collaborate with various functions and leaders to
achieve objectives.

The position requires 10-25% travel within the domestic United States. Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline from an accredited college.

Familiar with aerospace industry practices, production environments, and engineering processes.

Demonstrated proficiency in MS office tools.

Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Desired skills

Certified Quality Engineer or ASQ equivalent is desired.

Demonstrated ability to work at all levels of the
organization to identify and drive systematic root
cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative,
qualitative analytical capabilities to communicate and
influence others in a concise, data driven manner.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong presentation skills

Knowledgeable level RCCA ensuring effectiveness of CA plans.

Knowledgeable in surveillance of QMS / manufacturing processes.
