You are the professional Team Lead – Admin Behavioral Health we are looking for. Your outstanding administrative knowledge is needed to oversee the administrative activities at our Indy South location, located in Indianapolis, IN in an effort to maintain a professional and organized department, while delivering quality and timely care to patients. You will actively collaborate with the director of behavioral health, nurse manager, support staff, medical assistants, operations coordinators, nurse practitioners, clinical staff, and practice manager to provide the best outcomes for our patients.

Team Lead – Admin Behavioral Health Key Responsibilities:
- Performs administrative functions, such as:
- Supervision of support staff
- Management of reporting (NextGen, PACE, liability, internal referrals, etc.)
- Ensure completion of admission/intake paperwork
- Insurance checks daily
- Manage scheduling for all providers, clinical staff, and room availability
- Ordering supplies for offices, mail/certified processing, shipping items
- Coordinating with vendors, facilities, and outside referral contacts
- Manage bank deposits and cashbox audits
- Information Screening and Referral/Triage
- Ensure compliance with required drills
- This position is a working supervisor, works daily within the office, maintains timely, complete and accurate clinical and administrative records in accordance with center policies and procedures.
- Trains new support staff
- Answering and directing calls in the agency
- Electronic Medical Records tasks
- Admission/intake paperwork
- Train administrative staff on workflow in the behavioral health office
- Assist new behavioral health providers with EMR templates
- Performs quarterly audits in the behavioral health offices.
- Keeps immediate supervisor aware of all concerns. Serves on committees as a department representative.
- Improves workflow in the clinic and create procedures with the Practice Manager and Director of Behavioral Health
- Super-user in the work related Electronic Medical Record areas
- Behavioral Health
- Travel to designated locations
- May need to cover administrative position when staffing is needed
- Assist with surveys
- Other duties as assigned
We are seeking Team Lead – Admin Behavioral Health candidates with the following qualities:
- High school diploma/GED with experience in health care office setting.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a medical office required.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practice is also required.
- Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.
