Syler Veterinary Clinic is excited to add a Veterinary Receptionist to join our fun-loving, team-oriented practice where flexibility, collaboration and high-quality medicine go hand in hand. We are a solo-doctor, small animal hospital. Our team is happy-go-lucky, supportive and always ready to help each other out. We believe in work-life balance, flexibility, and teamwork!

As a Veterinary Receptionist, your duties will include:

  • Providing top-notch customer service
  • Cross-training to assist in the clinic as needed
  • Identifying and working compassionately with clients in various emotional states
  • Answering and triaging high-volume phone calls
  • Scheduling appointments and procedures
  • Checking in clients and monitoring flow from check-in to discharge
  • Confirming appointments and handling client callbacks
  • Managing medical record requests between hospitals and specialty practices
  • Processing payment transactions
  • Relaying information between clients and doctors, technicians, or management
  • Keeping reception and common areas clean and sanitary, including taking out trash, doing laundry, and cleaning floors, bathrooms, exam rooms, kitchen, and kennels (as needed)
  • Using Windows-based computer systems and practice management software
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the doctors or Practice Manager to help facilitate clinic flow and patient care

Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior experience as a Veterinary Receptionist is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Skills: Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities.
  • Mindset: A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.
  • Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay: $14.50 – $17.00 (based on experience)
