Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Principal DevSecOps Engineer to support the development and implementation of common platform service products focused on Cloud Native Edge systems. This exciting opportunity will involve working with a team to leverage your expertise in cloud native container orchestration platforms and service mesh technologies.

What You Will Do​

• Designs, implements, and troubleshoots program deployment automations.
• Integrates a variety of familiar and unfamiliar technologies into orchestrated solutions.
• Analyzes gaps in technology solutions and designs paths to close them.
• Follows directions provided by the team leaders in implementation and scope.
• Develops and follows installation, integration, and test procedures.
• Automates manual procedures.
• Documents procedures in a clear and unambiguous manner.
• Demonstrates work to a variety of audiences.
• Participates in and contributes to the team's Agile ceremonies, including daily scrum, Sprint and Program Increment planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Helps teammates to achieve success in their tasking.
• Reviews work and provides actionable feedback to teammates.

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Cumulative 5+ years of DevSecOps experience with the following tools and concepts: IaC tools and frameworks Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, CI/CD automation design and implementation with GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Flux, Terraform, Nexus Repository Manager, Artifactory.
• Procedure automation using scripting technologies like Python, Linux shells, Windows PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their services (e.g., compute, storage, networking), VPC, subnets, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer​

• Knowledge of enterprise application development and deployment processes.
• Experience with small form-factor computer infrastructures (ARM, 3U VPX, FPGA).
• Experience using RTX Modern Software Factory development environment.
• Exposure to public cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) infrastructure environments.
• Experience with HashiCorp products including Consul, Vault, Nomad, and Terraform.
