General Manager

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Infinity Hotels. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

The Trumbull Marriott Shelton in Connecticut will be owned and managed by Infinity Hotels as of the end of April. We are seeking a full-service General Manager candidate with experience leading a team and overseeing the daily operations of a full-service Marriott. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining the standard of work from employees, including supervising the full-service restaurant and onboarding and hiring new team members. This position requires prior full-service General Manager experience with Marriott.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction to a team of people
Manage all aspects of the hotel operations
Oversee the food and beverage department
Recruit and train new hires on business practices
Drive the development of employees
Ensure that quality of work or service is maintained

Qualifications Requirements:

Full-service Marriott GM experience
Food and Beverage experience
Management and Customer Service experience Strong administrative skills
Demonstrated ability to lead
Experience building and maintaining hotel budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting
Strong communications skills
