What We Are Looking For
Baylor University's School of Engineering and Computer Science is seeking an Assistant Director of Recruitment and Outreach. The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Outreach is responsible for partnering with Undergraduate Admissions to advance enrollment goals for the School of Engineering & Computer Science.
A Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. A Master’s degree and higher education or recruiting experience is preferred. Experience will not be accepted in lieu of the educational requirement.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Establish strategic vision and goals for recruitment and enrollment in the School of Engineering & Computer Science, in consultation with the Dean and Assoc./Asst. Deans.
- Oversee the ECS residential summer camp (Innovate) for rising high school juniors and seniors interested in Engineering & Computer Science
- Develop outreach initiatives for local and regional K-12 students
- Plan and execute events and programs to increase yield of ECS deposits and total undergraduate enrollment in ECS
- Collaborate with Undergraduate Admissions staff and ECS Director of Marketing & Communications to coordinate marketing and communication initiatives for prospective students
- Oversee and train ECS Ambassadors, current students hired to support recruitment efforts
- Oversee onboarding events for prospective students, including student session during Orientation and Welcome Week events
- Work with Admissions to coordinate ECS representation at Baylor recruiting events and coordinate school-wide recruiting initiatives
- Assist with other relevant duties as assigned
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
