Transportation Engineer I / II / III / IV - T.P.& D (Abilene District Office)

The Texas Department of Transportation / Abilene District, is seeking a full-time Transportation Engineer I/II/III or IV!

In this role, you will serve as a key leader within (T.P.& D.) Transportation Planning and Development; for the Abilene District, providing guidance, resolving technical issues, and helping ensure the timely delivery of high-quality PS&E (Plans, Specifications, and Estimate) packages. By fostering strong communication, collaboration, and consistency, you’ll help maintain a productive work environment, uphold project standards, and keep schedules on track. If you have experience performing and reviewing design work and supporting coworkers through complex submittals, this role offers the chance to directly contribute to both project success and team growth.

Salary Plan/Grade:

• Transportation Engineer I:   B24 ($65,104.00 - $106,634.00/yearly)
• Transportation Engineer II:  B25 ($69,572.00 - $114,099.00/yearly) 
• Transportation Engineer III: B26 ($76,530.00 - $129,430.00/yearly)
• Transportation Engineer IV: B27 ($84,182.00 - $142,374.00/yearly)
