Data Analyst - Health, Safety, Environmental Intern

SUMMARY:

The HSE North America department is currently using an HSE metrics and compliance database (Gensuite), analytics chart software (Tableau), Safety Data Sheet and chemical management software (Spheera), and ergonomics program (Humantech). MAHLE will train the intern and provide self-learning tools in the use of these software programs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn, and assist with set-up and training in the use of Gensuite HSE software
• Maintain HSE metrics and KPI data for 34 MAHLE NA sites
• Work with MAHLE sites to update and maintain chemical inventories with Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) in the Spheera database
• Learn and use the Humantech Ergonomics system
• Collect waste inventory information
• Other division and plant level projects as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Successful completion of Sophomore year of a Bachelor degree program in Safety, Environmental Sciences, HSE, Industrial Hygiene, or related program  
• Software skills are highly desired
• Microsoft Excel skills are required 
• Previous work experience in an office setting is preferred
• Factory experience is a plus
