Senior ML Architect

<h3>Company Description</h3><p>We are seeking a Senior ML Architect with over +10 years of professional experience in software design and development. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in software engineering principles, software architecture design, and best practices, with proven experience in Cloud Data pipelines (Ideally in the ML context). As an ML Architect you will play a key role in our innovation organization producing high level approaches for our ML systems, aligning with other peers, Tech Leads and Data Scientists on the best practices for this domain. </p><p>This position is to work on Machine Learning related projects. We are looking for someone with experience in Cloud Data Pipelines (ideally focused on ML workloads) and / or AI/ML systems. </p><h3>Job Description</h3><ul><li><p>Design scalable software systems with a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Lead systems architecture decisions, ensuring the design aligns with business requirements and technical standards.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Collaborate with Research Leads and Product Owners to gather requirements, design ML pipelines and coordinate the software delivery. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Create and maintain documentation for the different initiatives the team is participating in. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Participate or lead in design conversations among systems and other Architects/Principal Engineers for critical systems that can be on premise or Cloud. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Work with stakeholders and Data Science team to design monitoring pipelines strategies. </p></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li><p>10+ years of professional experience in software development.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>5+ years of experience leading teams and/or systems designs. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong foundation in <strong>software engineering principles</strong> and <strong>architecture.  </strong></p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Proficiency in design software architecture and data pipelines. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience on the delivery of cloud architectures (e.g., *<strong>Azure</strong>, AWS, GCP). </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. (SAFE is a plus) </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.  </p></li></ul><p><strong>Nice to Have  </strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience with <strong>Python </strong>and/or Machine Learning / Data Engineering projects. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience working with data transformations (pandas, spark, arrow, Databricks).  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>ADOIT or other Architecture documentation tool experience. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Product Oriented mindset. </p></li></ul><p> </p><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li><p>Competitive salary based on experience and skills.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work.  <strong>(The team meets at the office 1/ 2 per month) in Madrid or Valladolid.</strong></p></li><li><p>Opportunities for career growth and professional development.  </p></li><li><p>Collaborative and inclusive work environment.  </p></li></ul><p>#LI-Remote</p><p><strong>Our Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Flexible working environment</li><li>Volunteer time off</li><li>LinkedIn Learning</li><li>Employee-Assistance-Program (EAP)</li></ul> <p><strong>About NIQ</strong></p><p>NIQ is the world’s leading consumer intelligence company, delivering the most complete understanding of consumer buying behavior and revealing new pathways to growth.
