As a Database Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our database systems. You will work closely with software developers and data analysts to design and implement efficient database solutions that support our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Database Design and Development: Design and develop database schemas, tables, stored procedures, and functions based on business requirements.
  • Query Optimization: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Data Integration: Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the database.
  • Database Maintenance: Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as data backups, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Data Security: Implement and enforce database security measures, including access controls and encryption, to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and data analysts, to ensure the seamless integration of databases into applications and reporting systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database designs, data models, and processes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Version Control: Implement version control systems for database schema changes.
  • Automation: Develop automation scripts and tools for database-related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database development.
  • Knowledge of database management systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL preferred.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing systems such as Snowflake, Redshift and BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
  • Understanding of database security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.

As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.   The salary range estimate for this position is $130,000-$150,000.    The actual compensation will be at Reorg’s sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
