What You Can Expect
As our IT Applications Management Advisor in Houston, Texas, you will provide direct IT support for our energy trading operations and risk management functions for our ETRM system and spearheading the development of future business solutions. We seek a candidate with a robust technical skill set in key technologies, comprehensive understanding of energy trading processes spanning from the front to the back office, and adept project management abilities. Every day you will report to the IT Architecture Director collaborating effectively with end-users, including traders and risk officers.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or a minimum of nine (9) year’s total of trading software support and development experience in lieu of degree
- A minimum of 7 years of general business experience
- Previous experience working with or supporting energy trading system
- A solid understanding of and the ability to use SQL extensively
- Hands on use of Cube Logic or a similar SaaS credit solution
- Experience working with SSRS
- Advanced knowledge and use of ETRM software and risk concepts with prior ETRM Support experience
- Trading floor experience as an employee or consultant
- Experience with Microsoft reporting tools -- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI along with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Power Automate
- Able to provide occasional support during non-standard work hours for system upgrades, disaster recovery testing, unplanned outages or other emergencies
- Functional knowledge of IT

- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy

- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
Compensation
Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
