ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Change belts, rollers, and bearings on Elsner
  • Clean, measure, and inspect/Change blades and anvils
  • Operate Elsner in a safe and efficient manner
  • Know how to do line start-up and shut down
  • Properly clean/sanitize/PM all equipment
  • Set up rolls of material, and make roll changes
  • Practice and perform Lock Out/Tag Out
  • Proper use/handling of chemicals
  • Perform changeovers on all Elsner equipment
  • Inspect product to ensure good quality
  • Perform/record all hourly quality checks as specified by Edgewell SOPs
  • Practice and follow all Safety/OSHA/GMP/FDA/GDP requirements
  • General knowledge of all line functions
  • Help in training new team members
  • Perform other Lead/Supervisor directed tasks
  • Housekeeping/Lean/5S
  • Work collaboratively with team members, quality assurance, and maintenance to ensure smooth production flow

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Help keep the line stocked with materials. (Film, labels, shippers, etc.)
  • Clearing jams out of machines
  • Perform minor maintenance to equipment
  • Develop knowledge of machines through assisting maintenance with repairs.

 

RESULTS EXPECTED:

  • Produce a quality product while meeting all production standards
  • Be able to make mechanical adjustments
  • Troubleshooting abilities
  • Set up, start, operate, and shut down machinery in accordance with SOPs
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and output
  •  Perform in-process quality checks and complete documentation accurately and in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Follow all company, FDA, and GMP guidelines for cleanliness, equipment uses, and product handling
  • Assist in line changeovers, cleaning, and equipment sanitization to support batch integrity
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and promptly report issues to maintenance or supervision
  • Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and downtime reports
  • Participate in safety, quality, and compliance training
  • Uphold a clean and organized work environment to always ensure inspection readiness

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT:

  • Good mechanical skills and use of hand tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math & data entry skills.
  • Mechanical ability
  • Ability to function and communicate within a fast-paced team environment to meet production rates
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Be able to multi-task efficiently
  • Work Safely
  • Able to read a ruler
  • Able to use military time to complete checks
  • Pay attention to minor details
  • Time management skills

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to see well enough to inspect products, read a ruler and tools
  • Must be able to walk
