Senior Program Manager - IT PMO

About the Role

Rapid7 is seeking a highly skilled, effective and experienced IT Senior Program Manager to join the IT PMO team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering complex IT programs that span across multiple teams and technologies. The IT Senior Program Manager  will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects and programs, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT programs and projects, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic goals and compliance standards.

• Lead project teams across different departments, fostering collaboration and effective communication.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including project plans, budgets, timelines, and status reports.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.

• Engage with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

• Drive continuous improvement in IT program management practices, incorporating best practices and lessons learned.

• Manage program budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and financial compliance.

• Mentor and guide project managers and team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

The skills you’ll bring include:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of experience in IT project/program management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex IT programs.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software development life cycles, and current technology trends.

• Proficiency in project management tools and software, as well as Google Suite.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification is strongly preferred
