SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Executive Assistant, you will perform complex, diverse and confidential administrative duties supporting members of the Company’s Executive Leadership Team and selected members of their team. You will work independently and in collaboration with peers on projects of varying size and complexity while maintaining smooth day-to-day operations of the Corporate office. This role exercises significant judgement to accomplish goals.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Executive Support
- Partners with other Executive Assistants to maintain smooth office routine and meet necessary deadlines.
- Communicates and/or coordinates instructions with each leader and their respective teams and other employees throughout the Company including Board of Directors, Compensation Committee, Executive Leadership, and employees in Corporate and at the Company’s different Businesses.
- Able to be an effective resource for responding to questions and able to provide information as appropriate to others
- Works closely with the CHRO and President of Global Operations to schedule and manage calendars effectively.
- Coordinates travel for CHRO and President of Global Operations and others as needed and time allows.
- Acts as a liaison for scheduling virtual and in person meetings, visitors and incoming correspondence; responds and/or transmits messages as appropriate.
- Prepares and reviews standard presentations and reports.
- Draft’s correspondence for executives’ final approval and organizes and maintains executive correspondence and records as well as follow up as needed. Must be able to do so with good judgement and at times with limited direction
- Coordinates other projects, as requested, including the corporate travel planning calendar and investor relations activities.
- Performs duties in a manner that aligns to and adheres to company policy with regard to internal controls
- Provides backup support to the Executive Assistant to the CEO, assisting with projects and coverage as necessary.
