Job Summary:
This role provides strategic leadership and execution oversight across the technical and operational programs supporting PayPal Complete Payments (PPCP). You will guide complex, cross-functional initiatives by aligning engineering workstreams with product priorities and business objectives. The Director drives clarity across programs, ensures strong governance practices, and delivers consistent visibility to senior leadership. Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Architecture, Operations, and external stakeholders, you will lead milestone and risk management, streamline processes, and evolve delivery frameworks that enable quality, velocity, and scalability. You will also champion the integration of AI-driven practices into program and portfolio execution.Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Scope: The project & program responsibilities are focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system from design to release for customers.
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for engineering operational programs.
- Oversee the planning and execution of engineering programs.
- Ensure alignment of engineering programs with business goals.
- Manage and mentor program managers and engineering teams.
- Monitor program performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate program status and strategic initiatives to executive leadership.
- Manage program budgets and financials.
Expected Qualifications:
- 10+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex engineering programs.
