Tax Partner – Atlanta (Industrial & Consumer Goods)

We seek a Partner in our Tax Practice who will be responsible for growing and serving Industrial & Consumer Goods clients in our Atlanta practice. This highly visible position offers excellent training, development, and professional growth. Limited travel in this region should be expected. Relocation assistance may be offered.

You'll use your taxation expertise to lead a team that provides federal and state tax compliance and consulting services to dynamic middle-market companies across the manufacturing, distribution, and consumer goods industries. Exposure to and general knowledge of international tax compliance is preferred.  

You’ll also use your client service team leadership skills, acting as a role model, to provide coaching, mentoring, and training in the development of managers and staff.  

To continue our success, we're looking for a partner who will contribute to expanding the practice by using their strong professional network of business contacts and referral sources to identify and win new opportunities, develop and promote new ideas and business solutions that successfully attract new clients as well as expand services to existing clients, and by engaging in business development and community-based events/opportunities with other firm leaders.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active CPA license.
• Requires previous experience in business taxation for a Big 4, large national, or regional accounting firm with a focus on providing federal corporate (C and S) and multi-state tax-related compliance and consulting services to large middle market clients in the manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products industries.  
• Technical ASC 740 experience including expertise in corporate tax compliance, planning, and provision.
• Prior experience in the following is desirable:
  • Experience in dealing with corporate international tax compliance, planning, structuring matters, and knowledge of foreign reporting requirements.
  • Tax compliance & consulting experience related to M&A structuring, planning, and reporting.
• Experience with developing the strategy and plans to grow a practice through expansion of services to existing clients and obtaining new clients. 
• Prior experience utilizing content marketing, social media, and other means to demonstrate and share tax thought leadership, leading to new business opportunities, is desired.
• Exceptional client service skills leading to the highest quality of execution and delivery of client engagements.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills for coaching a client service team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating with other partners and for providing guidance to clients as their “trusted advisor.”
• Excellent problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
