About the role

ABOUT US!

MMG Real Estate Advisors is a rapidly growing, independent multifamily and land advisory firm with offices expanding across the country. With over 550 deals closed and billions in total production volume, our unique combination of talent, resources, and expertise delivers an elevated experience from acquisition through disposition. We are adding a Senior Analyst to our Financial Analysis team to help lead our accelerating underwriting pipeline and mentor the next generation of analysts.

WHY MMG:

If you have spent the last few years proving yourself at a large institutional brokerage and are wondering when you will get to lead — this is your answer.

At MMG, Senior Financial Analysts are not middle managers buried in a hierarchy. You will run the most complex deals in the pipeline, work shoulder-to-shoulder with advisors across multiple markets and have a direct hand in shaping how the department operates and grows. Our team is scaling fast, our advisor network is expanding aggressively, and we promote from within — which means the Senior Financial Analysts who are here now are the team leaders and department managers of the near future.

What we offer is something larger platforms genuinely cannot: the chance to lead early, build real influence over a growing department, and accelerate into management on a timeline that rewards performance, not tenure. For the right person, the upside here far outpaces what a traditional path at a large shop can offer.

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonus potential
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Direct collaboration with the Director of Financial Analysis
  • Ownership of the most complex deals across a high-volume, multi-market underwriting pipeline
  • A genuine, fast-track path to Team Lead, Management, and beyond

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a high-ownership role for someone who has already proven they can run deals end to end and is ready to take on greater complexity, client exposure, and team leadership. You will own the most demanding underwriting assignments in the pipeline — large portfolios, nuanced deal structures, and high-profile advisory engagements — while serving as a primary quality control checkpoint for the broader team's output.

This is not a role where you wait for direction. You will work directly with advisors and the Director of Financial Analysis to shape underwriting strategy, refine our proprietary model, and drive process improvements across the department. You will also play a hands-on role in developing Junior Analysts — reviewing their work, coaching them through complex deal mechanics, and helping set the standard for what institutional-quality analysis looks like at MMG.

MMG promotes from within, and the Senior Analyst role is a direct steppingstone to team leadership and management positions within the Financial Analysis department. If you want to build something, not just occupy a seat — this is the right opportunity.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Underwriting & Financial Modeling

  • Analyze and interpret P&L statements, rent rolls, trailing 12-month financials (T12), capital expenditure reports, and loan documents, applying seasoned judgment to identify anomalies, risks, and operational drivers that inform the valuation
  • Build and maintain cash flow projections, rent comp analyses, and pro forma assumptions across a full range of multifamily asset types: existing stabilized, value-add, affordable, senior, student, and new construction
  • Lead the development of sensitivity analyses and return scenario modeling, collaborating with the Director of Financial Analysis to refine assumptions and present findings to the advisory team
  • Oversee document intake through RedIQ, ensuring accurate interpretation and population of the valuation model, and flagging data quality issues before they reach final output
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement and enhancement of MMG's proprietary underwriting model, identifying opportunities to improve a
