To succeed in this role, you must have minimum of a B.S./M.S. degree in relevant science (environmental) or engineering discipline (chemical, environmental, civil, or similar) with at least 15 years of air monitoring experience in a consulting environment.

You will join our Environment and Health department
As our new Air Quality Monitoring Expert, you will be part of our interdisciplinary team in Air Sciences. You will work with all levels of expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks. The duties of the position include:
- Air monitoring systems operation
- Ambient air quality program design oversight and implementation
- Managing projects, clients, and regulatory agency relations and identifying and pursuing business development opportunities
- Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations, compiling, and drafting regulatory applicability determinations, and communicating findings to co-workers, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Implementing regulatory compliance regulations with clients
- Conducting site visits
- Operating data management software systems
- Interacting with regulatory agencies
- Meeting Ramboll and client safety training and workplace safety requirements

- B.S./M.S. degree in relevant science (environmental) or engineering discipline (chemical, environmental, civil, or similar)
- 15+ years of experience in Air Sciences and Air Monitoring Systems in a consulting environment
- Detailed knowledge of US EPA ambient air monitoring regulatory requirements, siting guidance, operational parameters, quality assurance, and data reporting
- Experience installing and operating ambient air quality networks
- Experience with installation and operation of US EPA approved monitoring instrumentation
- Experience preparing quality assurance project plans (QAPPs) for ambient air monitoring networks
- Experience managing data collection systems, data validation, and data reporting
- Experience implementing quality assurance programs for ambient air monitoring networks
- Ability to manage multiple projects, field staff, and coordinate with vendors and clients
- Proficiency in air monitoring software systems data management
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory reporting
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively with multiple project deadlines, prioritizing projects, and delivering quality work products on tight timelines
- Demonstrated business development capabilities are a plus
Salary Transparency Statement
At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $120,000 and $135,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms o
