<h2 class="heading-2">About the team</h2> <p>We are a fast-moving team of infrastructure and platform engineers building Fleet Orchestrator, which manages our entire fleet state, including software versions and configuration. Our system ensures that every vehicle in the field is running the correct, validated software stack — from the core autopilot bundles to low-level sensor firmware.</p> <h2 class="heading-2">About the role</h2> <p>We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take a key role in designing and evolving <span class="discussion-id-27068a16-2f10-8046-9d45-001c57dc333d notion-enable-hover" data-token-index="1">our </span>Fleet Orchestrator. You’ll be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and reliability of the system that deploys software <span class="discussion-id-27068a16-2f10-8024-a579-001c651ce780 notion-enable-hover" data-token-index="3">to </span>thousands of autonomous vehicles operating in complex urban environments.</p> <p>This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your work directly ensures the stability, consistency, and safety of our fleet at scale. <span class="discussion-id-27068a16-2f10-80ab-8802-001c313d5d0b notion-enable-hover" data-token-index="1">You'll be solving complex systems problems that are critical to our mission.</span></p> <h2 class="heading-2">What you'll do</h2> <ul> <li>Design and build a cloud-based service that dynamically computes and serves vehicle software specifications based on fleet requirements, operational state, and hardware profiles.</li> <li>Architect and develop the agent that runs on every vehicle, managing its state and software lifecycle.</li> <li>Deepen our integration of the agent with the underlying OS to ensure robust and isolated application environments on the vehicles.</li> <li>Collaborate with other involved teams to define and implement deployment strategies that improve reliability, enhance the developer-to-vehicle workflow, and ensure reproducible deploys.</li> <li>Debug and resolve complex, system-level issues across the fleet, ensuring high reliability and uptime for our autonomous systems.</li> </ul> <h2 class="heading-2">What you'll need</h2> <ul> <li>Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building robust, testable, and maintainable applications.</li> <li>Solid experience with Linux systems programming and administration, particularly with systemd.</li> <li>Experience building and running systems in production. Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, or similar technologies is highly valued</li> <li>A systems-thinking mindset—you can reason about complex distributed systems and their failure modes.</li>
