Summary

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Preventative Maintenance Technician to support daily equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance activities. This role focuses on maintaining equipment cleanliness, identifying potential issues, and documenting work through our CMMS system. The ideal candidate understands the importance of proper cleaning methods and how they directly impact equipment performance, reliability, and longevity

 

Schedule

Night shift: 10 pm - 6:30 am 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance work on all plant equipment as scheduled.
Recognize proper operation of all plant equipment to include safety shutoffs and devices.
Recognize and use lock-out/tag-out devices as required.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial lifts – all with required certifications.
Use various hand and power tools.
Operate floor scrubbing machine to clean floors in plant production areas.
Clean and maintain production and facility equipment on a daily basis, including nightly pressure washing.
Utilize the company CMMS system to: Document daily activities, findings, and any equipment issues
Adhere to proper personal protective equipment (PPE) standards, such as wearing safety glasses, use of hearing and hand protection, and wearing high visibility clothing when required.
Adhere to all OSHA Safety Standards and OBRC policies such as Lock Out Tag Out.
Other job duties as assigned.

 

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required or any equivalent combination of training, experience and education to perform duties.
Complete forklift training class as scheduled by the company.

 

Requirements – Skills, Job Knowledge & Abilities

Solid basic mechanical skills
Prior maintenance, sanitation, or equipment cleaning experience.
Maintain a forklift accident-free record as forklift accidents.
Safely work around machinery with moving mechanical parts as needed.
Ability to speak, read, and write sufficiently to perform the job.
Comfortable using digital systems (CMMS or similar software) for documentation.
High degree of attention regarding safety requirements to prevent injury to self and others.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Manage time to prioritize duties in order of importance.
Communicate to work together to get the job done right the first time.
Be available to work schedule as posted and do overtime as necessary.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Work indoors and outdoors as needed in various temperatures/conditions.
Exposure to industrial equipment with moving mechanical parts.
Working conditions may include getting wet due to equipment washing and cleaning activities
Occasional exposure to odors of empty beverage containers.
Noise levels in designated areas of the plant require the use of approved hearing protection.
Must be able to frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to push/pull carts, toolboxes parts, etc. up to 50+lbs.
Talking and hearing is frequently required.
Vision abilities for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to stand and walk.
Must be able to bend/stoop/crouch/squat.
Must be able to use arms/wrists/hands/grasp.
Must be able to climb and balance on ladders as needed.
