Humana Healthy Horizons is seeking a Learning Design Professional 2 who will use instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solutions to a knowledge or performance gap. The Learning Design Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Learning Design Professional 2 analyzes content, organizes content, designs solutions, and writes storyboards, scripts, performance support, policy & procedure documents, job aids and process flow documents.
- Analyzes learning needs and partners with subject matter experts to provide input for course content.
- Writes effective learning objectives and coordinates performance assessments to measure training effectiveness.
- Ensure course materials are current and relevant to training needs.
- Tracks and analyzes the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.
- Provides instruction and guidance to Facilitators.
- Plans, organizes, and develops training curriculum, materials, job aid, job performance aids and programs to meet specific training needs.
- Assists with new hire onboarding tasks.
- Uses consultative skills to commit projects and conduct needs analysis with clients to determine whether learning solutions are necessary or relevant.
- Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
- Make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and require minimal direction and receive guidance where needed.
- Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of professional experience in learning design or learning facilitation.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in design, facilitation, adult learning strategies and/or adult learning theories.
- Prior experience working in a consumer centric company leading the learning function or related function.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Zoom, Adobe Tools, Articulate, Microsoft Office Suite tools, Adobe products, Articulate products, Lucid Chart, Humana Learning Center and CSOD.
- Previous experience in utilization management.
- Medicaid experience.
- CGX experience.
Additional Information
- Workstyle: This is a remote position with minimal travel.
- Typical Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Standard time (EST). This position must be flexible in accommodating work schedules and meetings in Central Standard Time (CST) in order to satisfy business needs.
- Travel: Up to 5% travel annually, possibly outside of your state of residence for team engagement meetings and training.
