As part of the Infra Team you will ensure the integrity, reliability, scalability, security and cost efficiency of LiveEO’s cloud resources. You will join a small team of dedicated DevOps and Security Engineers bringing additional seniority and deep technical knowledge for advancing the existing infrastructure. You will also help less senior colleagues with technical advice and conduct regular security and cost efficiency sessions.

The Infra Team is a horizontal services team supporting vertical product-focused teams with infrastructure which enable them to run their services.

You will design & implement the product services in the existing cloud infrastructure along with these teams, and work to improve existing infra solutions based on feedback and design sessions with them.

Additionally, you should expect to work on company-wide problems including but not limited to networking, CI/CD, logging services, and database performance and scaling issues, in separate environments.

Your challenge

• Design and implement modern, scalable infrastructure solutions on AWS using Terraform. Leverage Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), ArgoCD, KEDA, Karpenter, and other Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) tools to build robust, cloud-native platforms.

• Build, maintain, and optimize internal CI/CD infrastructure to implement enhancements in the toolchain automation that cover all aspects of products lifecycle.

• Empower users by providing expert technical support, ensuring they maximize the potential of our infrastructure to drive efficiency and success.

• Drive innovation by delivering robust infrastructure services to downstream product teams, fueling the success of LiveEO’s solutions across all product lines and empowering cutting-edge capabilities.

• Design and implement the migration to a multi-account approach on AWS

• Mentor and inspire junior developers by guiding them through complex code reviews and deployment strategies, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Your profile

Must haves:

• Extensive background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, highly available infrastructure;

• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including experience with Helm, and ArgoCD in production environments;

• Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts;

• Skilled in building CI/CD pipelines

• Expertise in Linux, bash scripting, and Python programming;

• In-depth knowledge of AWS services and the AWS technical landscape;

• Knowledge of AWS Landing Zone and Control Tower;

• Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, subnets, routing, and firewalls — essential for building secure and reliable cloud-native systems;

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational database;

• Experienced with observability and logging solutions (e.g. Coralogix, DataDog, etc.);

• Collaborative team player with excellent listening and contribution skills;

• A mindset that emphasizes collaboration, automation, and shared responsibility;

• Fluent in written and verbal English communication;

• Proven track record in dynamic start-up or scale-up environments. Experienced in agile workflows with iterative delivery and cross-functional collaboration;

• You are located in Berlin or within Germany with a currently valid work permit.

Nice to haves:

• AWS and/or Terraform certifications

• Proficient with Ansible

• Familiar with SOC2 and ISO27001 standards

• Knowledge of WAFs

• Skilled with GitLab CI/CD

• Experience deploying ray / anyscale or other distributed processing framework

• Knowledge of KEDA, and Karpenter beneficial

• Experience with Teleport or similar identity access management tools
