Location: Reno, NV
Compensation: $21.59/hour (night shift receives +$2.00/hour differential)
Hiring for one Day Shift (6:00am-6:00pm) AND one Night Shift (6:00pm-6:00am)
General Summary:
Patagonia is looking for an experienced, compassionate, highly motivated individual to assist in all areas of Safety & Security. What You’ll Do/Job Functions:
- Monitors & patrols multiple sites on foot and/or bicycle, checks for unsafe conditions, hazards etc.
- Responds to incidents of work-related injury, medical emergency, fire, threats, suspicious activity etc.
- Observe and report activities and incidents.
- Controls & monitors access into all buildings.
- Prepare accurate logs and reports as needed.
- Works closely with other security personnel, management, employees & visitors.
- Learn and understand basic OSHA and Fire laws.
- Additional duties as assigned by department manager/leaders.

Experience You Bring/Job Requirements:
- 2+ years combined experience in physical security, law enforcement, military, community outreach, customer service and/or emergency response coordination.
- Be at least 18 years of age with at least a high school education or equivalent (GED).
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing racial justice and equity.

- Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel, co-workers, and the public in a professional and effective manner.

- Ability to obtain a State of Nevada PILB (Nevada Private investigation Licensing Board) Guard Card.
- Ability to pass and maintain First Aid, CPR & AED certifications.
- Ability to learn, understand and apply basic OSHA and Fire laws.
- Basic computer skills & knowledge (Outlook, Microsoft Teams).
- Knowledge & understanding of CCTV systems.
- Knowledge & understanding of access control systems (Brivo).

Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other associates, or guests.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and carry for up to 50 feet.
