About the role and team:

As the Senior Supply Chain Professional, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of supply chain solutions through high-level process improvements and strategic planning methods. You will lead projects related to the analysis and enhancement product workflow processes through the detailed development of logistics/supply chain plans affecting material flow, production, distribution, and inventory networks. You will also design and optimizes logistics networks for both domestic and international shipments. 

 

What you can look forward to:

• Develop just in time supply chain process which delivers on time deliveries with demand flexibility.
• Monitor inventory levels and inventory turns.
• Analyze ordering methods and product consumption.
• Coordinate and adjust delivery schedules to minimize inventory and maximize turns
• Coordinate production schedule with production planning
• Determine the best delivery methods that minimize in-transit inventory
• Coordinate packaging of produced product
• Identify issues early in the supply stream then work to alleviate those concerns or adjust schedules (supplier and internal) to slow impacted material deliveries.
• Work with the supply base to optimize their ship dates
• Review supply chain transportation methods to reduce transit times
• Reduce stored component material through Kan Ban, delivery frequency changes, or transport methods
• Lead problem solving teams and continuous improvement (i.e. Kaizen) activities relating to logistics that ensure that standard work documentation and work processes are in place.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Ensure compliance with all TS16949 and ISO14001 requirements, ZF corporate policies, and divisional directives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree or
• 6 + years of progressive experience
• Computer skills;
• Problem solving skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Proven leadership abilities;
• In-depth knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within logistics;
• Extensive experience with interpreting and manipulating large amounts of supply chain data;
• Extensive experience with supplier management and in-depth knowledge of specialized methods and techniques
