Position overview

Are you interested in generating and maintaining a detailed production plan for products that are used in goods all across the globe? We are looking for a service oriented, self-directed and proactive Production Planner to join our team in the world-leading industrial coating resins company. You will be responsible for the entire production planning process at our Louisville facility.

Responsibilities

• Follow regional stocking policies, ensuring alignment with current business rules and working with PLM(s) and Planning lead to insure alignment with overall business targets.
• Work with site production teams to generate and maintain a production schedule.
• Control and execute distribution replenishment planning.
• Optimize working capital by balancing inventory, service levels and cost
• Ensure completion of transactional process of material requirements through the MRP process
• Respond and follow up any goods receipts discrepancies for Shared Services – Accounts Payable 
• Identify and review regional inventory optimization opportunities and slow moving inventory.
• Continually communicate with relevant stakeholders within the organization regarding product availability.

Required skills and experience

• 2 years of planning/manufacturing experience or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of various computer software packages, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be proficient in ERP material management module (SAP preferred), production scheduling, inventory management, forecasting.
• Strong and effective communicator both written and orally with operations and management and exercise good judgment in resolving conflicts and addressing customer requests.
• Continuous Improvement: Demonstrates a learning approach towards continuous improvement. Analytical and critical thinking, pro-active mindset.
• Fluent English (reading and writing) skill is required.
• The person is expected to be onsite - Louisville, KY.

Qualifications

• 2 - or 4-year degree or equivalent experience in planning or Supply Chain.
