Job Description
QMM1 engineer, responsible for Quality activities in product audit program, APQP - Quality Plan creation and management for new programs and ECR process, PPAPs, PV Testing, customer launch preparation and Quality Gates participation. Also will be responsible for working cross functionally with Project Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, LOP and other departments to establish, implement, maintain and continually improve our e-mobility Products and process quality to deliver a positive customer experience. Support for customer return activities.
- Quality Engineer responsible for PPAP/APQP activities
- Coordinate and align activities with manufacturing plant in UAES.
- Work closely with customer representatives in resolving functional problems and identifying improvements
- Work closely with production and support departments on machining and assembly processes and system improvements in UAES plant.
- Develop and support use of sound system/process improvement tools (SPC, FMEA, MSA, 8D, PDCA, CIP, etc.) used by the Charleston Plant Team
- Implement automatic / electronic based solutions
- Complete customer quality documentation as needed (eg., documentation for failure analysis and corrective action, customer audits)
- Provide engineering support for auditing, measuring, and testing equipment
- Successfully work and interact within cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Work self-dependently on department projects to improve cost and quality of processes
- Self-dependent working capabilities:
- Goal and result oriented
- Follow and develop structured approaches for more complex tasks
- Coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required - engineering or closely related field preferred
- 3+ years experience in automotive manufacturing environment preferred
- Superior written and oral communication skills to independently prepare and deliver presentations and proposals
- Ability to interface with the all levels of the organization, and especially collaborate with product audit test technicians on a daily basis
- Strong organizational and project management abilities. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong team facilitation skills and the ability to motivate teams and individuals not in a direct line of control to advance on improvement projects
- Proven motivational skills to act as a change agent for the organization
- Superior computer skills including MS Office, SAP, and statistical software (Tableau, Power BI, Visual Basic skills a plus).
