Faulkner Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and skilled Full-Time Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our team. Clinical Support:
- Assist veterinarians with medical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgical interventions.
- Perform tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, administering medications, and monitoring anesthesia.

Patient Care:
- Provide high-quality care to animals, including feeding, grooming, and administering treatments.
- Monitor patient behavior, symptoms, and responses to treatments.

Diagnostic and Laboratory Duties:
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests including blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs.
- Prepare and process laboratory samples, and maintain accurate records.

Client Communication:
- Educate pet owners on treatment plans, preventive care, and home care instructions.
- Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, managing inventory, and ensuring clinic cleanliness.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Completion of a relevant veterinary assistant program or equivalent experience, strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in performing medical procedures, strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, and excellent technical skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and the ability to handle animals with care and empathy.
