Software Quality Assurance (QA) Lead

As a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Lead at BI&A, you will be leading the comprehensive quality assurance and quality control efforts across multiple programs under the Analysis & Production (A&P) umbrella. The individual is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and execution of software development, testing, verification, and validation processes, ensuring that all software products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and functionality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and execution of plans and programs for achieving and maintaining product quality throughout development and maintenance lifecycles
- Monitoring operations to prevent the production of defects and to verify adhere to quality plans and requirements
- Analysis and investigation of adverse quality trends or conditions and initiation of corrective action
- Partnering with stakeholders to identify and review software development requirements, test objectives, and strategies
- Leading the development and maintenance of automated CI/CD and test procedures and frameworks
Beyond these technical responsibilities, this role serves as a primary point of contact for government and program leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all A&P programs. The individual is tasked with ensuring that all quality assurance and quality control activities are well-coordinated, effectively managed, and aligned with the overall objectives of the program, driving successful project outcomes across the board.

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- 13+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, and/or software and systems engineering.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for 4 years of experience, and a Master’s degree may alternatively be substituted for 6 years of experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Demonstrable experience leading software development and/or testing activities.
