By 2032, we intend to be leading the world in CVRM therapies, launching up to fifteen (15) new life-changing medicines. 

What is the opportunity? At AstraZeneca, we are strongly committed to developing new therapies that advance standard of care in CVRM. We are now looking for a commercial leader to join our growing commercial team focused on our ETASi asset. The product is currently in Phase III development for Proteinuric CKD. The Phase III study is the first dedicated study focusing on patients with proteinuric CKD and will serve a population of patients with a very high unmet medical need.

Accountabilities: In this role, you will be a commercial leader helping to develop and shape the global strategic plan, implement the global operational plan and support key launch markets. The successful candidate must be a strong strategic thinker and good communicator, with a specific appetite for shaping and implementing brand strategy through collaboration with global cross functional teams, market affiliates and external partners. In this role, you will also work closely with other Marketing Directors and cross functional teams for other pipeline assets to shape the future as part of our Integrated CKD strategy, preparing the organization for outstanding global launches.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:
 

· Develop Commercial strategy and planning: Drive success across indications from Phase 3 through to launch and Shape product strategy with a tie to disease area strategies and insights in CKD in close collaboration with other Global Brand Directors and Cross Functional team members
 

· Generate & use customer insights (patient, physician, payer) to inform clinical development and to create differentiated and winning brand strategies and support with objectively analyzing and commercially evaluating competitive positioning, unmet need, etc.
 

· Contribute to the business LTP and MTP business planning cycle. Support the development of evidence-based forecasts that are aligned with the target product profile and that credibly reflect a range of commercial potential
 

· Engage and collaborate with internal and external customers. Work in collaboration with markets to develop commercial programs to drive and address barriers to adoption at launch. Manage marketing relationships with agencies, vendor partners, consultants, and other third-party groups . Collaborate with CVRM Commercial leadership (and other team members) to deliver the global CVRM ambition, including successful product launch plans.
 

· Ways of working and reporting line: Comply with AZ policies, standards and procedures in every interaction. The role reports to the Global Head of Marketing, ETASi asset

Essential Skills/Experience:
 

· Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

· 10+ years of commercial or strategic marketing experience in biopharma.

· Specialist launch experience in a competitive space

· Experience leveraging clinical data to shape brand strategies and lifecycle planning

· Strong working knowledge of forecasting, market research, useful insight generation, and competitive landscape analysis and interpretation.

· Demonstrated experience in insight generation, positioning, and market shaping.

· Experience from leveraging AI and digital to drive commercial strategy and operational excellence.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

· An advanced degree (MBA, MSc or PhD) is preferred

· Deep CVRM expertise

· US specialists launch experience

· Working across geographies and cultures

· Launch experience in multiple global markets

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $229,303 to $343,955. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity
