Job Description Summary
The Global Compliance Leader for Nuclear Power will run all aspects of our compliance program across the global business unit. This includes prevention, detection, mitigation and corrective action. The role will report to the Chief Compliance Officer for the Power Segment. The role will engage business leaders and managers at all levels of the organization to influence culture, increase employee engagement, and engage in strategic risk management.Job Description
What you’ll do
- Responsible for understanding the business, organization, relevant industry regulations, and internal policies and procedures, in order to serve as a strategic business partner and advisor of compliance risks and mitigations.
- Design and implement the compliance strategy for s global Nuclear Power business.
- Work directly with the Executive Leadership Teams and stakeholders (e.g. CEO, CFO, GC, Commercial Leader, etc.) for the Power Segment and Nuclear Power business to drive leadership engagement, including but not limited to hosting Compliance Review Boards, facilitating Compliance communications, and supporting business strategic initiatives
- Drive the Compliance Culture across the global Nuclear Power business – ensuring compliance is viewed as a foundational pillar, employees are aware of the program, policies and procedures
- Support the execution of global commercial compliance including supporting the business in new market strategies, commercial offerings, risk mitigation and third party due diligence assessments.
- Ensure global compliance controls are effectively operational, aiding the central program team in implementing new requirements or addressing monitoring gaps as necessary.
- Support the global Open Reporting program by assisting in investigations (e.g., approvals) and collaborating with the open reporting team on trend analysis and risk identification, ensuring high standards of program excellence and responsiveness to employee concerns in line with NRC regulatory requirements.
- Provide support and expertise in critical matters such as government investigations, high-priority legal investigations, monitoring and internal audits.
- Conduct strategic, global compliance risk assessments for the Nuclear Power business; develop and implement mitigation plans across the global business.
- Conduct project and Fixed Facility Site visits on an as-needed basis to support the implementation of compliance culture, processes, and controls at the sites of the global Nuclear Power business.
- Continually review and evaluate laws and regulations and their impact on the global Nuclear Power business’ strategy and commercial operations. This would be inclusive of compliance related trends, risks and gaps. Identify and construct a strategic response and lead improvements where required.
- Provide Nuclear Power business-level support on the implementation and execution of the Compliance Enterprise Standards, training, communications, monitoring outcomes or data analytics requests.
- Assist the broader Power Segment Compliance teams on business-wide objectives, compliance-related duties, special projects, and initiatives to support the overall compliance program, as self-identified or directed.
- Assist with compliance-related duties across the other Power Segment businesses in the GE Vernova portfolio, as directed.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with progressive responsibility in compliance.
