Responsibilities

Providence Medical Center is looking for a full time Patient Services Rep to join our growing and dynamic Cardiology Clinic!

 

The Patient Services Representative duties include, but are not limited to:

• interviews the patient or his/her representative to obtain identifying and basic demographics to prep for upcoming visits
• schedules patients in their clinic and assists with scheduling them in others
• verifies insurance coverage, collects co-pays and prior balances from patients, reconciles and prepares deposits, and troubleshoots billing issues
• greets and checks in patients
• handles all incoming phone calls and routes to appropriate staff or initiates message
• coordinates clinic business processes such as  supply ordering, sales calls, record release, fax and mail processing
• this is a full time day shift position - 8:00a - 4:30p

 

Must be able to:

• operate a computer to accurately input and retrieve data
• communicate with the population served, staff, and providers utilizing age specific techniques
• address customer inquiries, resolve customer complaints
• maintain proficiency in medical terminology
• project a positive and helpful attitude

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• previous experience in a medical setting, preferred
• knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
• Customer Service experience, preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
