Senior Business Analyst

Position Overview:

As a SaaS Software Tester for our Utility CIS suite of systems, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendor developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to deliver a seamless user experience. Your expertise will help us maintain the highest standards of quality in our software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Design: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for our Utility CIS system and other SaaS applications, covering functional, regression, performance, API and integration testing.

Automated Testing: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects in Vendor Jira system, and collaborate to facilitate timely resolution.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate and assist with UAT efforts where required, ensuring end-user requirements are met.

Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including test plans, test cases, testing reports and application workflows.  Create and maintain a searchable repository for testing documentation in SharePoint.

Collaboration: Work closely with product management and development teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on system design and functionality.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in SaaS applications or utility CIS systems.
• Relevant testing certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent are a plus.
• Strong understanding of software test Life cycle with testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools like Atlassian Jira or Azure VSO.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics and identify bottlenecks.
• Knowledge of utility industry processes and regulations is a plus.
