Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to support direct manager with collaboration and assistance in the coordination, planning, scheduling, execution and completion of all assigned mechanical systems/service projects, also to include but not limited to, coordination of manpower, material, equipment and subcontractors, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Assures compliance with safety and quality policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- Develops cost-effective plans and schedules for completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
- Collaborates with Operations department for guidance and support, including technical direction.
- Strengthens customer relationships.
- Documents technical requirements, develop and implement project plans and facilitate efficient implementation of work scope.
- Assist in managing multiple projects while meeting or exceeding stated deadlines and bid estimates.
- Pre-plan and coordinate material and completion of required inspections.
- Assist with managing and coordinating field manpower with project requirements.
- Prepares estimates, change orders and proposals for Project Managers.
- Visit job sites to monitor progress.
- Mentor field employees and foster a learning and growth environment.
- Protects the company by identifying and avoiding risk.
- Documents job progress, changes, delays, submittal’s, RFI’s etc.
- Support the Operations team.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- For consideration, candidates must be able to successfully complete the Human Resources onboarding process and pass the Safety Orientation training without the assistance of an interpreter. This includes fully understanding the content delivered by the instructor and passing the associated exams independently.
