Finance Systems Analyst - Enterprise Systems

Precision Medicine Group is seeking an Finance Systems Analyst - Enterprise Systems who will work at the intersection of finance, business operations & technology. Reporting to the Director of Business Systems, this role will be the strategic financial operations & systems partner working with key finance and business stakeholders, process owners, and technology partners to drive enterprise system efficiency and process transformation with a key focus on streamlining, enhancing, and integrating processes, data, and systems to deliver business operational excellence. This role will address specific functional issues and requirements that support enterprise-wide and business unit-specific levels as well as global and local complexities. This includes evaluating business objectives and needs, current operational procedures and financial systems used to formulate and successfully execute the roadmap for finance and systems transformation into the future.

This role will also lead projects in partnership with cross-functional teams including but not limited to new business integration, continuous improvements in systems and processes, and business transformation initiatives that will be heavily based in the ERP system (Infor Cloud Suite). This role includes partnering with the businesses to gather requirements, manage overall testing of enterprise & segment initiatives and identifies segment specific impacts resulting from system changes or enhancements. This partnership ensures projects are coordinated to complement each other and leverage synergies where possible.

The Finance Systems Analyst will lead and grow the capabilities of business unit finance data and business analysis team.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional data, process and systems initiatives focused on key finance and business operating processes (e.g., Project Accounting, order-to-cash (OTC), procure-to-pay (PTP), Record-to-Report (RTR), Acquire-to-Retire, supply chain management).
  • Serve as the business partner with the finance teams for cross-functional initiatives to support business requirement gathering sessions and implementation of new requirements.
  • Review and document end-to-end current state finance workflows across data, people, and systems to understand impact and dependencies with non-finance departments to identify opportunities to optimize.
  • Recommend, design, and implement future-state processes by leading cross-functional data and systems requirements sessions, managing implementation stakeholders, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Provide thought leadership in the areas of best practices of financial reporting, data stewardship and business intelligence, to enable efficient and scalable accounting operations and processes, internal controls, and tools.
  • Provides business function owners with guidance and an understanding of the Enterprise system functions as they relate to business functions.
  • Work with Finance and Accounting leadership to identify and prioritize current and future requirements. Work with internal teams and/or vendors to identify optimal solutions and timely and effectively implement solutions in alignment with priority.
  • Implement ERP enhancements and ensure consistent system configuration and testing.
  • Partner with other departments to identify, enhance, develop, and implement data management processes to ensure reporting requirements are met.
  • Analyze data to ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot problems with data, processes, calculations.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key data needs, determine best sources of data, define key metrics, and enable appropriate access to data for end users.
  • Support initiatives to maintain data integrity and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Lead finance data and process integration efforts for acquired companies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS Degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Management, or Accounting or another related field with an emphasis on quantitative/analytical field – with an interest in life sciences and biotechnology
  • 8+ years of professional experience in finance operations and business analysis of high growth, large, global businesses within a matrixed organization
  • Experience using large scale ERP systems including documenting, translating, and implementing finance business requirements with end-users and IT.
  • Experience with Infor Clou
