PA/NP - Pediatric Endocrinology, Grand Rapids, MI (0.6FTE/Part Time)

Treat patients from infancy to adolescence with disorders of the Endocrine System, including diabetes, hypoglycemia, adrenal dysfunction, ambiguous genitalia, thyroid abnormalities, hypothalamic or pituitary dysfunction; perform procedures related to Pediatric Endocrinology with support from the attending as needed.

With the largest endocrinology program in Michigan, we have advanced diagnostics and treatments available onsite. Work closely with other pediatric subspecialties to provide comprehensive care to a diverse population of patients.  Make referrals and communicate with other specialty providers to enhance patient care;  maintain medical records, clinical records, reports, and correspondence.

• Wednesday - Thursday - Friday schedule 8am-4:30pm

• 1st Wednesday of the month, travel to Muskegon Clinic

• Night call 1x/wk, No weekend call

• Robust orientation process 3-4 months

Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner

Education - Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission

Experience - 3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in current, relevant clinical experience Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role

Completes credentialing and privileging process upon hire and undergoes reprivileging every 24 months or as determined by policy.
