The three-month IT summer internship provides an exciting and rewarding experience for the college student interested in software development as a career. The program provides training and practical experience on the cutting edge of technology at Hannover.
As an intern you will work with a mentor on a variety of web and desktop applications. You will gain valuable experience in Full-Stack development. You will write software and test cases, test in multiple environments, participate in front-end and back-end design, and learn database design and programming. You will gain experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud computing, all part of our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This internship is a hands-on experience where you will work on actual projects that are driven by company initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least three classes in the Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems (or similar) BSc or MSc program.
- Preferred candidates will have completed Junior year
- Familiarity with one or more of the following technologies
- C# or similar object-oriented language
- NET or similar framework
- Angular, React, or similar
- Git and Pull Requests
- JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Azure DevOps or similar
- RESTful Web Services
- HTML/CSS
- Microsoft Windows OS
- WinForms, WPF, or UWP
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills
- Quick learner/self-starter
- Motivated to learn new technologies and frameworks
- Ability to have fun!
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
- Target start date - May or June 2025
- Three-month program duration
- Paid internship – 35-hour workweek
- Work From Home – Hannover will supply your workstation.
