Description

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a skilled and curious IT Business Analyst to improve the way our systems serve staff and clients. This role sits at the intersection of IT and operations, turning real-world challenges into clear technical solutions. You will collaborate across departments to support process improvements, ensure smooth system adoption, and provide training that helps users get the most out of our tools. Schedule. This position is full-time, working Monday through Friday for 8 hours per day between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. It follows a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work, with minimal onsite presence required and scheduled in advance. Schedule adjustments may occur based on training or departmental needs.

 

Salary for this Role. Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of experience and company equity.

Essential Functions:

  • Act as a bridge between IT and business teams by translating day-to-day operational needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Lead discovery sessions with staff and stakeholders to define business goals and shape practical system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Work closely with developers and end users to guide solution design, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and assist with rollouts.
  • Map out current and future workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for smarter, more aligned system use.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for advanced user issues, applying broad system knowledge to troubleshoot and coordinate resolutions.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training to support onboarding, system changes, and new features, helping staff feel confident and equipped.
  • Create and maintain user-friendly documentation, onboarding materials, and digital training resources to support ongoing learning.
  • Collaborate with training, support, and operations teams to develop change management tools and real-world user scenarios.
  • Champion user-centered design by documenting needs clearly, communicating consistently, and incorporating feedback into ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in analyzing the effectiveness and/or efficiency of processes and/or systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in eliciting, modeling, and analyzing business and/or technical requirements; experience as a healthcare provider may be considered in place of this requirement.
  • Business, clinical, and IT certifications or licenses are preferred, including:
    • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
    • Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE)
    • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
    • Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
  • Genuinely curious and analytical mindset.
  • Great interpersonal and consultative skills, including excellent listener.
  • Strong customer service orientation and facilitation skills.
  • Critical thinker, highly self-motivated and directed, who naturally asks questions.
  • Broad understanding of business functional areas (clinical, facilities, finance, HR, IT).
  • Practical experience in generating process documentation.
  • Knowledge of requirements development and specification methods.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
