Job Location: New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an accredited school pursuing a degree in Finance or a related field of study.
Job Summary/Purpose
Gain experience and exposure to job functions within Treasury (mostly with a focus on Cash Management, with some exposure to Corporate Finance, Investments and Insurance). Individual will work under close supervision and will perform a variety of functions and work on Treasury projects. The assignments will vary but will help build exposure to Treasury processes and relationships.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Work with Treasury analyst(s) to review, digitize and save bank related documentation in accordance with Entergy’s record retention policy
- Perform assignments related to finance principles, practices, and concepts (i.e. financial analysis, etc.), particularly related to cash management and the review of money market investments
- Work on ad hoc request and continuous improvement projects to support stakeholder requests
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Ability to support SharePoint improvements and offer insight on how to improve current processes
Education Requirements
- Seeking an individual pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree with concentration in Finance, Economics, or similar program with strong analytical skills
- Must be actively pursuing a degree as indicated above.
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA or higher required (on a 4.0 scale).
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position:
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and in a team environment
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Independent self-starter with attention to detail
- Good critical thinking skills
- Microsoft Suite knowledge with preferred Excel focus
