The opportunity  

 

You will have the opportunity to develop, research, and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding, and encryption. Additionally, you will provide in-depth understanding of security concepts, protocols, processes, architectures, and tools. We are also looking for someone who can perform system analysis, reverse engineering, and static, dynamic, and best-practice malware analytical methodologies on Windows, Android, or *NIX-based platforms.  

 

Your key responsibilities 

 

  • Provide in-depth understanding of security concepts, protocols, processes, architectures, and tools
  • Perform system analysis, reverse engineering, and static, dynamic, and best-practice malware analytical methodologies on Windows, Android, or *NIX-based platforms
  • Participate in formal technical briefing and proposals
  • Adequately explain, present, demonstrate and document the operational impact of a particular vulnerability
  • Identify, define, determine origin and report on malware and other select software found on media of interest   

 

Skills and attributes for success 

 

  • Experience managing end to end technologies
  • Must have 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience leading technical capabilities
  • Effective communicator and strong skills working with clients
  • Effective management skills
  • Ability to interface with data consumers to understand data requirements and translate to requirements
  • Experience on projects utilizing continuous delivery and deployment methodologies a plus 
  • Familiarity with modern AI/ML is a plus
  • Experience with technology policy is a plus.   

 

To qualify for the role you must have 

 

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline  

 

Ideally, you'll also have 

 

  • Experience developing in Python, C, C++
  • Capable of Python scripting to automate analysis and reverse engineering tasks
  • Understanding of x86, ARM, x64, and MIPS architecture
  • Understanding of network protocols and networking concepts
  • Understanding of how network-based attacks work
  • Understanding of software engineering methodologies
  • Working experience with reverse engineering and network security tools. Examples; IDA Pro, GDB, WinDdg, YARA, Linux, and Wireshark.
  • Must be able to work onsite in the greater Washington, DC metro area 
  • Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites. Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work
