About the role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to lead our IT Finance and R&D Enterprise Solution initiatives. The person will play a crucial role in designing and implementing comprehensive Oracle EPM and PPM solutions to meet BSC’s financial and planning needs. This professional is responsible for understanding business requirements, architecting solutions, and providing technical guidance throughout the implementation process.
The individual will need to be an innovative thinker, technically savvy, and a strategic problem-solver. The ideal candidate will have experience applying architecture concepts in an agile environment and will have the ability to understand business challenges and recommend best practices. You will collaborate across multiple divisional/regional business partners, Finance Product Teams, R&D PMO, Enterprise architects, and cross-functional teams to meet business needs and deliver value.
Your responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with R&D PMO, R&D Finance and Corp Finance teams, and business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements related to financial planning, analysis, reporting, and project portfolio management.
- Develop both high-level and detailed solution designs that align with the organization's financial and project management requirements. Ensure scalability, performance, and security of the proposed solutions.
- Design and implement new systems, as well as maintaining and optimizing existing systems.
- Integrate new EPM and PPM systems with other enterprise systems such as SAP, Kronos, JIRA, Tableau, SuccessFactors, etc.
- Design data models and architectures that facilitate accurate financial data collection, storage, and analysis. Ensure data quality and integrity.
- Translate verbal requirements gathered in customer meetings into technical requirements documents, statements of work, and proposals.
- Assist in gathering requirements, discoveries, whiteboarding solutions, and product demos.
- Someone who will deliver assignments in accordance with agreed scope, time, financial and quality measures.
- Mentors team members in technology, architecture, and delivery of applications.
- Exposure to Tax and Treasury applications
Project Specific Skills:
Experience in designing and developing solutions using the Oracle EPM suite of products including Oracle EPM cloud Data Management (EDM), Planning (EPBCS), Consolidation (FCCS), and Profitability and Cost Management Module (EPCM) applications.
Have an excellent understanding of EPM & PPM Application end to end workflow, batch schedules, data and metadata management, metadata loads, EPM Automate, Security, data transformations to Inbound and Outbound (Upstream and Downstream) systems.
Should be able to bring automation and new ideas and propose transformative solutions in the EPM and PPM environments.
Architect with deep knowledge of PPM (Planisware or similar PPM tool) and project management methodology, to lead the transformation of our PPM process.
Design and validate a complex EPM and PPM architecture and ensuring its successful implementation.
What we're looking for:
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of leading complex Enterprise IT projects, with particular focus on EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) and PPM (Project portfolio management).
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field required.
- 10+ years of combined IT Analyst, Developer, Tech Lead, or Architect experience.
- Proven ability to stay aware of current trends and technical advancements and share learnings.
- Experience working in large and complex enterprise project environments.
- Experience with Agile delivery practices, preferably in a lead role.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels, including developers, business partners, and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership in partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects.
- Ability to lead on-shore
